We are happy to make windows for double glazed units. This has the advantage of being thermally efficient and is necessary in new build situations to meet building regulations.
We also make windows for single glazing with linseed putty where windows have to match existing listed windows. Where listed windows are required we offer the option of using a slim edge spacer krypton filled double glazed unit. This option is dependent on the requirement of the conservation officer. The advantage of the slim edge spacer allows you to keep a traditional section glazing bar but with better acoustic and thermal performance accoisated with a double glazed unit.
On previous jobs we have supplied sample boards of timber sections to meet listed requirements; this is something we are always happy to do.
All windows can be made in hardwood or softwood, clear finished or painted.
